PrefixBench ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at prefixbench.com. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What We Collect

Calculator Data

All subnet calculations run entirely in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or have access to any network addresses, configurations, or notes you enter. Shareable URLs encode data in the URL parameter, and this data never reaches our servers.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects:

• Pages visited and time on site
• Approximate geographic location (country/city level)
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• Referral source (how you found us)

GA4 does not collect personally identifiable information. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

We may display ads via Google AdSense. When enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Cookies

We use the following storage mechanisms:

• Dark mode preference: stored in localStorage, not sent to any server.
• Analytics cookies (when enabled): Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid) for visitor statistics.

We do not sell personal data. When analytics and advertising are enabled, data is shared with Google as described above. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes requests for content delivery and DDoS protection.

Data Retention

When Google Analytics is enabled, data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. We do not maintain any separate user databases.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information beyond what Google Analytics may aggregate, most data is already anonymized. For any requests, contact us at the email below.
